Yesterday Tiger Of Sweden closed 3 days of shows at MBFW in Stockholm. The 2 gender collection titled ‘Poetic-Punk’ had a neutral colour scheme through the whole show. With womenswear using hard detailing to contrast the barely there pastels, and the menswear had a hard look across the whole collection with micro-patterns offsetting the monochrome. We loved the tartan prints, the mix of leather and sheers and just the whole collection in general!
Collaborating with Scream gallery Matthew Williamson is using the work of Shane McAdams as the print designs for his A/W 13 collection. The psychedelic dream-like landscapes have already been used on his S/S 13 collection with amazing results so why not use them again?
‘Hand to Earth’ exhibition will be presented by Williamson at Scream, followed by a month and half-long show opening 5th September 2013.
When Piers Atkinson decided to break away from the Headonism show at LFW this year we’ve have all been waiting to find out who will fill his boots. Well today we found out that Keely Hunter will be doing just that! Hunter will showcase her architectural designs at Somerset House in the Designer Showrooms and on Friday 13th September. This visor came from her S/S 13 collection so we’re sure that S/S 14 will not disappoint!
MTV’s VMA awards did not disappoint this year! There were shocks with awards and shock performances. But for us it was all about the outfits! With Lady Gaga wearing top-to-toe PVC and changing 5 times during her applause performance. Taylor Swift looking chic in Herve Leger by Max Azria, Selena Gomez looked all grown up in Versace and Miley Cyrus, well she didn’t wear much at all! But Rita Ora stole the show in a Alexandre Vauthier Couture bejewelled top with an extravagant feathered skirt, which required 2 people to follow her down the red carpet and re-adjust the skirt for every photo opportunity!
YSL have unveiled their pair of very retro, very stylish and very pricey roller skates! The skates come in a sneaker style and are made from black and white leather so that everyone who wears them can look roller chic when they’re trying out this new trend. A pair would cost you £765 and Luisa Via Roma only has three sizes left, so if you want a pair you better get your skates on! (sorry, it had to be done!)
Jylle Navarro has teamed up with the amazing My Bad Sister and created some official knitted merchandise, available to buy on ASOS Marketplace! The chunky knit black and neon yellow pattern beanie has the MBS logo on it and if you ask very nicely can come in and size or colour! & remember…Winter’s just around the corner!
Yep it’s ladies day at Glorious Goodwood and like all ladies do we’re picking our favourites for the race based on what (and who) they’re wearing. This year the likes of, Vivienne Westwood, Bella Freud and Katie Grand have designed silks for the celebrity jockeys riding in this year’s all-ladies race.
We think we’ll be putting our money on Gina Bryce in Tabitha Webb!
