Louis Vuitton are collaborating with Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Marc Newson and Rei Kawakubo who have all designed an unparalleled collection which includes Louboutin’s shopping caddy cart (including his iconic red accents), to Lagerfeld’s punching bag trunk with its very own LV boxing gloves. Not your everyday bags but a very unique collection none the less.
Nicolas Ghesquiere certainly did not disappoint with his second collection for Vuitton, still showing off his signature cool retro sillouhette. Cargo jackets, woven dresses, sequins, leather and denim all featured strongly. But the bags were also very much present – a Vuitton staple after all – making the brand somehow super cool again…
Marc Jacobs ended his tenure at Louis Vuitton with a brilliant show at Paris Fashion Week showcasing the 2014 spring collection. Marc Jacobs had been the creative director at Louis Vuitton for nearly two decades. A new creative director for Louis Vuitton has not been named, Marc Jacobs will be free to focus on his own line.
We all ooohd and aaahd when Louis Vuitton launched their Himalayas-inspired collection at Paris Fashion Week in January.
Now their collaboration with the Chapman Brothers whose gorgeous prints are emblazoned on lavish dinner jackets, silk robes and bags, is finally available to order.
We so wish we had a spare £3,800 so we can get one of those jackets! Wow indeed!
Louis Vuitton are opening an exclusive footwear boutique in Selfridges next week. It will be in the London Shoe Hall and will featuring a specially curated section of shoes, including an exclusive shoe – the Pump London – of which only 24 pairs have been made!
The Louis Vuitton Salon will open to the public on July 15.
